Artist Statement: Trauma happens to everyone. Physical or emotional; good or bad, I become a different person from it. I sit with it. I heal. A scar is left behind. A Display of Victory. The hurt is over. The pain is conquered, and the lesson is learned. I grow stronger, smarter, and move forward. Heavy and difficult; yes. Still, through the pain, something great is born. I build my own foundation from every scar and discover my identity. Every ounce of strength in my body, formed from everyone. All my scars are unique. I remember and value each individual one. Thankful for every lesson, every tear, and every smile.
