Artist Statement: I love avocado. Finding a small, creamy morsel in my salad is like finding a nugget of gold! This piece was inspired by Andy Cooperman's Creative Captures class. The Tigers Eye stone is trapped between two thin pieces of copper that are riveted together. The back was textured and oxidized. The front was powder coated green. In addition to being grateful for avocado, I am especially grateful for the support and opportunities I have had to study jewelry making at Danaca Design, especially during COVID. This unique studio has helped me to keep my sanity over the last year and a half.
50% of the sale of this piece will be donated to the beneficiary listed above.
