Artist Statement:
Making this ring was a bit like playing “he loves me, he loves me not” in reverse. This piece was born out of a pile of silver scraps sitting on my bench, which I melted down and used to fabricate the different elements of this ring. The fabrication process was challenging and time-intensive; each petal was meticulously secured with soldered studs.

My wish is that the happiness I feel when creating these pieces of jewelry will transfer to the people wearing and enjoying my work.

Artist Bio:
I am originally from Sweden, and I began my metalsmithing journey in Seattle, WA more than two decades ago. I have also studied traditional Italian silversmithing techniques at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana in Milan, Italy.

My work has been exhibited at the Milan International Arts and Craft Fair at several occasions. I have participated in several juried/invitational shows including The Earring Show at Velvet da Vinci in 2016, and the annual British Columbia Craft Council’s Earring Show in 2019.
My work combines craftsmanship and aesthetic inspiration from Scandinavia, East Asia and the natural world to produce pieces of essential contemporary design.
