Artist Statement:
This ring was constructed thinking of the vitality and rawness of new life in springtime in conjunction with commercialism surrounding easter. Conciliation is found between the raw freshness of budding flowers and the delectable plastic shapes and rounded egg forms associated with easter baskets. This is a celebration of the new and pure that welcomes a sense of youthful familiarity and warmth to the wearer.

Artist Bio:
Madison Egleston is an Akron, Ohio native where she grew up surrounded by an artist’s community and began making at a young age. By age 16 she was teaching pottery classes and then later in 2019 received her BFA in Jewelry, Metals, and Enameling from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Back in Akron, she went on to work in the nationally renowned art space, Don Drumm Studios and Gallery. Amid a global pandemic, Egleston accepted a Graduate Assistantship at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she currently studies under Sue Amendolara and Cappy Counard. When she’s not in her studio, Madison can be found out exploring nature or playing with her cat, Yvie.
