Artist Statement:
Serpents represent a creative life force they are a symbol of rebirth, transformation, immortality and healing. These hand formed solid silver snakes lay over a sea of Moss Agate and rise with natural Aquamarine crystals. This two finger contemporary cocktail ring is a one of a kind statement piece with meaningful symbolism and powerful stones. With Aquamarine being such a strong stone for mental clarity and communication mixed with the soothing immune boosting properties of the spectacular Moss Agate these stones work as a tool to refreshing change. Artist Bio:
Taylor Koedyker, a naturalist maker trialing with the adversity of our complicated existence. Metalsmith by trade, trained at California College of the Arts where I received my BFA in Jewelry/Metal Arts. Currently working from Oakland/Los Angeles I am a do it all jeweler with a love for craft. With my works I aim to promote a deeper appreciation for the ornate intention found everywhere in our natural world, highlighting our connections while acknowledging humanity’s growing disconnect to it. As we face an uncertain future, we can still make a shift to a more conscious existence. And I just hope that my intentional pieces of metal help to advocate this belief.
