Tegan Wallace
grew up near Seattle, surrounded by artists of all stripes. I was always encouraged by my parents to "Make, make, make" and found an interest in jewelry early on thanks to my goldsmith neighbor. I was also privileged to have a full jewelry studio at my high school and spent hours there experimenting, failing, and falling in love with metal. Nearly 30+ years on, that love still runs deep.
Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to study with many nationally-renown jewelers I also hold a BA in History and an MA in Communication. Both of which, while not directly related to metalsmithing, inform my work and my teaching.
When not in my studio or running my small-batch caramel business, I love teaching jewelry and metalsmithing to kids and teenagers. I also love to hang out with my own kids (7 and 9), sketch, travel, and play around with complicated design software.
