Artist Statement: I was very inspired by the fabric pattern and wanted to repeat this in my work, while also telling a story in the moment.

Artist Bio: Dawn Conry is a Phoenix Arizona based collage artist and theatre designer.

Fabric Motif: The Edo Stripe - stripes were a symbol of the Edo era's sophisticated fashion aesthetic. At the time, stripes were created in the weaving process.
