Artist Bio: My work is intended to change opinions and educate people further about learning differences. Society views people with differences as unhealthy, defective, and deviant. Over the centuries people with disabilities have been mistreated as human beings. There are still cultural, social, and religious views that still affect people with differences. My research entails how disability historic movements are still present in today's practices of society by creating wearable or sculpture objects to show the viewer the reality of disability culture in the public view. By presenting a piece on the body, it presents something hidden and issues rarely mentioned or talked about in public. Creating and educating people about these issues creates conversations and social awareness on the various ways people retain and learn information.
