Artist Statement:  Inspired by a Rosemary Mosco comic, imagining a conversation between 2 migrating songbirds flying through the aurora borealis. The phrase "Let's keep flying" emotionally resonated with me and felt like a timely message. Stone colors were chosen to represent the bright colors of the aurora. The stones under the ring represent the wonder that's hidden in all of us and the fuel to keep moving forward. The 2 birds spin above against a starry sky with the etched phrase "Let's keep flying".

Technical Process Info: Fabrication, etching, stone setting.

Artist Bio: Danielle Cadef Designs is committed to the adornment of those that appreciate individualism. Each piece is created to be an extension of the wearer. Every jewelry collection utilizes recycled metals (when possible), stones, fossils, recycled gemstones and found objects, in interesting ways. Her designs are inspired by birds- their colors, textures, shapes, calls and habits, the flora and fauna of the southeastern US, and the ocean. All jewelry is handmade in her home studio in Durham, NC.
