Artist Statement: This piece is part of a series I recently finished at Penland inspired by children's development toys. This ring specifically is one that I have wanted to make for a long time. The movement and interaction in this piece are designed to spark the viewer/wearer with instinctual feelings of play. Along with that, it's a reminder that there are tiny moments of joy everywhere, even when you're waiting to visit the doctor.
Technical Process Info: Casting, powder coated, and fabricated.
