Artist Statement: Inspired by the object that accompanied Françoise Gilot since she was 3 years old, when she started using her mother's brushes. The brush was in her hands from the age of 3 to 101. Turning this object into a ring is immortalizing the extension of any painter’s hand.

Designed and made from scratch, by casting fine silver, laminate it, and building the ring with metalsmithing technique. Adding bristle of a real brush. Finishing with brushed silver texture.

Artist Bio: Amélia Marta is a Portuguese artist passionate about Jewlery, creates pieces inspired by people, art and nature:  'I am particularly curious about combining different materials, different techniques and applying color notes. Every piece is a storytelling'.
