Artist Statement: I wanted to challenge my abilities as i am fairly new to this kind of work. I also wanted to reflect the history and past life of my creation through its dents and scuffed finish. This gas mask is an invention of war and has a grim history and I wanted to make sure I could capture its abused history.

Artist Bio: I am a sophomore in high school and enjoy making things with my hands. I am passionate about getting down and dirty with my work and persevering through struggles. this project took many hours and failed attempts to master, and I hope it is appreciated as much as my blood sweat and tears did when making this piece.
