Looking for an exciting and rewarding activity for your teen this summer?
The Danaca Design Jewelry & Metalsmithing Camp might be the perfect fit! This week-long camp teaches fundamental jewelry-making and metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, forming, forging, stamping, riveting, and basic soldering while learning to use a variety of basic hand tools. In addition, we will explore the fundamentals of composition and color theory while exploring a variety of media including polymer clay and powder coat. Using copper and brass wire and sheet metal, as well as a variety of other materials, we will create jewelry pieces students can wear proudly. Projects include stacking rings, bangle bracelets, earrings and pendants.
No experience necessary, returning students welcome.
This class is taught by Tegan Wallace, who has been teaching jewelry making at the elementary and middle school level since 2009.

Materials INCLUDED:
- Students will be provided with all tools and materials necessary for class projects including copper and brass wire and sheet metal, beads, clay, powder coating, stringing materials, clasps and other findings. In addition, parents will be given a resource list should they wish to have supplies for at-home use after the class.
Students MUST Bring:
- Lunch
- Waiver signed by parent or legal guardian
Students MAY Bring:
- A sketchbook
- Any beads or other materials they think will be fun to work with.
