Brienne Rosner | Structural Cocktail Ring

Artist: Brienne Rosner, Pennsylvania
Materials: sterling silver
Size: 9

Artist Statement: I explore space, movement, and surface by layering materials and patterns, drawing inspiration from the subtle intricacy of systems and minutia of visual life, objects and nature. My infatuation with the process of discovery is evident in the juxtaposition of texture, luminosity and color, and by using techniques in unexpected ways. A common thread across all of my series is that I’m driven by the playfulness and purpose of direct user interaction.

Artist Bio: Brienne Rosner received a BFA in Painting with a minor in Art History from Boston University. Brienne has exhibited her mixed jewelry and wall pieces nationally and was awarded the Louise K. Binswanger Prize for Best Artist New to the Show at the 40th Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show. She resides in the Dingmans Ferry, PA located in the Pocono Mountains, and serves as the Director of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG), a national non-profit that supports and advances the professional practice of artists, designers, jewelers and metalsmiths.
