Nash Quinn | Ballista Ring Redux: Double or Nothing

Artist: Nash Quinn, Wyoming
Materials: sterling silver, steel, urethane rubber
Size: 8.5

Artist Statement: For last year's Battle of the Rings, I submitted a rather pedestrian single-shot ballista ring. It didn't win, so this year I'm doubling down. I present Ballista Ring Redux: Double or Nothing, complete with re-engineered trigger mechanisms, cooler (and marginally safer) darts, and of course, two barrels. With 15 feet of range and two opportunities to hit your target, this is the ultimate fidget ring - at least until next year.
Warning - not a toy! Keep away from children.

Artist Bio:  Nash Quinn is a metalsmith who specializes in small-scale mechanisms and experimental enameled vessels. He received his BFA from the University of Wyoming, and his MFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He has taught, lectured, and exhibited his work at craft schools, jewelry academies, and universities nationwide. He currently lives in Laramie, WY, where he teaches metalsmithing and design at his alma mater.
