Artist Statement: In Greek mythology, Persephone, Queen of the underworld & goddess of spring, was seized and taken to the underworld as Hades’ bride. Her abduction sent her mother on a desperate search through the night. Eventually, an agreement was made with the god Zeus that The Earth would only bear fruit upon her daughter's return. This ring represents the flowering meadows as Persephone returns from the underworld each spring, and has a lovely story to tell about hope, a mother‘s love, renewal & regrowth.
Technical Process Info: Fabricated from 56 components that were cut, textured, formed & layered to create a dynamic impression of a flowering garden. An objet d'art, this ring was designed to present beautifully whether on display or worn draped across the hand.
