Artist Statement: 'Pasta Party' commemorates an evening shared with friends, colleagues, and mentors; an evening, as you can imagine, filled with endless pasta. However, its purpose is not only to memorialize a gratuitous feeling, but also to bring into being and solidify the invisible labor of the many women whose 'job' extends far beyond our typical associations with work.

Artist Bio: Sarah Bouchard currently resides in Athens, GA where she is a graduate student, as well as instructor of record at the University of Georgia. She received her BA in Studio Art and in Philosophy from Coastal Carolina University. With an interest in tools, her work centralizes on themes of gender, queerness, domesticity, and absurdity.
