Artist Statement: This ring literally only has eyes for you, but it wants to be your friend. The ring is one of a kind and has been made with the lost-wax casting method. It has been entirely hand sculpted from scratch by the artist. It is set with a transparent quartz cabochon with lovely rainbow inclusions, and gold leaf accents have been applied to the eyes with the Keum-boo method. 

Artist Bio: Valerija Ecina lives in Riga, Latvia. She has been working as a jeweler since 2015 and selling her works under the name 'Belly Of The Snake'. She has studied with several master jewelers and is focused on making jewelry with the lost wax casting method. Valerija sculpts all of her models by hand to maintain the authentic feeling of her jewelry. She is inspired by nature, dark and weird things and the absurdity of human existence.
