Peggy Foy

Seattle jeweler Peggy Foy has been working in metal since 2001. She specializes in intricate filigree designs and kinetic jewelry with working mechanisms.
Peggy received formal training in metalsmithing from the University of Georgia, graduating with a BFA in Jewelry/Metalwork. Drawn by the vibrant arts community (and the natural beauty and ethical sensibilities of the region), Peggy relocated to Seattle in 2005. She served on the board of the Seattle Metals Guild from 2011-2018, and was SMG President from 2016-17. She has curated two exhibitions for the Society of North American Goldsmiths’ annual conference (2011 in Seattle, and 2018 in Portland, OR).
Peggy teaches classes and workshops in metalsmithing at Danaca Design, North Seattle College, and Pratt Fine Art Center. Her Pioneer Square studio is open bi-annually for First Thursday Artwalk, and by appointment.
